In Kindergarten, we use the Everyday Math program.  This program is a spiral of lessons that change daily but gradually build upon previous knowledge to teach skills.  For example, we may work on money today, and then patterns tomorrow and then measuring the next day.  And then next week go back to money and build that skill more.  The spiral continues throughout the year and on into the next grade level, in which they use the program to build on previous knowledge.
